Important: AI marking and feedback can be wrong
Acemate uses AI to mark work and give feedback. It can make mistakes. Treat AI marks as a guide, not a result, and have a teacher or parent review them before relying on them. See section 3.
The key points
- Acemate is a study aid. It does not replace your school or your teachers, and promises no result.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must accept these Terms for you and supervise your use.
- Do not cheat, share your account, or upload anything unlawful, harmful or not yours.
- You own your work. We use it only to run Acemate for you.
- Our liability is limited (section 8). Your rights as a consumer under Indian law are not.
1. About these Terms
Acemate is operated by Persa Global Solutions Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (“Persa Global”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the agreement between you and Persa Global for your use of the Acemate website and app (“Acemate” or “the Service”). You accept them when you create an account, tick to accept them, or use the Service. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy form part of them.
If you are under 18
Indian law does not let a person under 18 enter into a binding contract, so a parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms for you. They agree to them both for themselves and on your behalf, and are responsible for your use of Acemate.
If anything here is unclear, write to us (section 12) and we will explain it.
2. Who may use Acemate
- Students in Grades 1 to 12. A student under 18 may use Acemate only with a parent or guardian’s agreement and supervision and, for AI features, the parental consent in the Privacy Policy, section 4.
- Parents, guardians, teachers, tutors and schools must be 18 or over, give accurate information, and act only for their own child or ward, or for an institution they are entitled to represent. A teacher is responsible for having the right to use Acemate with their students.
- Your account is yours alone. Keep your password secret and do not share it. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at once at acemateservices@gmail.com if someone else has used it. Do not pretend to be anyone else.
- Approval. Some accounts and features must be approved by us or by a school, and we may refuse or withdraw approval where an account is not what it claims to be.
3. AI feedback can be wrong
Please read this section carefully
Acemate uses artificial intelligence (the Acemate AI engine, built on AI models from a third-party provider) to read handwriting, mark answers, write feedback and explanations, create practice questions and build study plans. AI is useful, but it is not perfect, and it will sometimes be wrong.
- It can misread handwriting, mark a correct answer as wrong or a wrong answer as correct, miss mistakes, or give unclear feedback.
- Its explanations and questions can contain errors, and may not match your board’s syllabus or textbook exactly.
- Marks, grades, mastery levels and predictions on Acemate are estimates. They are not official results, and no school, board or examining body recognises them.
- A teacher, parent or other responsible adult should review AI marks and feedback before anyone relies on them.
- Do not use AI output alone for a decision that matters, such as entering an exam, choosing subjects or a stream, an admission, promotion, a scholarship or discipline.
- Teachers and schools: AI marks are a draft for you to check. You are responsible for any mark, grade or comment you release and any decision you take with it. Where a teacher has marked the work, the teacher’s mark prevails over the AI’s.
- Nothing on Acemate is medical, mental-health, legal, financial or career advice.
- If AI output is wrong, unsuitable or harmful, tell us at acemateservices@gmail.com. We will review it, and correct a wrong mark or comment about you.
To the extent the law allows, Persa Global is not responsible for loss caused by relying on AI output that was not reviewed as this section asks (section 8).
4. The service
Acemate provides practice questions and quizzes, marking and feedback, progress reports, study plans, tools for teachers, and a dashboard for parents. It is a study aid, not a school: it awards no qualification and does not replace teaching or your own study. We do not promise any examination result, grade, rank or admission.
We aim to keep Acemate available, but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. We may add, change or remove features. Some features have a limit on AI-assisted activity, shown in the app; when you reach it, that feature pauses until the limit resets, and nothing you have done is lost.
Acemate does not take payments at the moment. Before it does, we will add the terms for paid plans, including refunds, to these Terms.
Textbooks and curricula referred to on Acemate belong to their publishers and are used for study and reference. If you own such material and have a concern, write to acemateservices@gmail.com.
5. Using Acemate properly
You must not:
- cheat: submit someone else’s work as yours, use Acemate where an exam or assignment does not allow it, or manipulate marks, streaks, XP, coins or gems;
- try to get unauthorised access to Acemate, an account or any connected system, test its security, or get round any limit, access control or consent requirement;
- scrape Acemate or use bots on it, or copy, reverse engineer, resell or sublicense it, except as far as Indian law allows despite this clause; or
- give false information about your age, your role or your relationship to a student, or give consent for a child who is not yours.
You must not upload, write or share anything on Acemate, including through the AI, that:
- belongs to someone else and that you have no right to share;
- is obscene, pornographic or paedophilic, invades anyone’s privacy (including bodily privacy), insults or harasses anyone on the basis of gender, is racially or ethnically objectionable, or promotes hatred or violence between groups;
- is harmful to a child;
- infringes copyright, a trademark, a patent or any other right, including complete copies of commercial textbooks;
- deceives or misleads about where it came from, or that you know to be false or misleading;
- impersonates another person;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its relations with other countries, or public order, or incites any offence;
- relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling;
- contains a virus or any other code designed to damage or interfere with a computer or system;
- is anyone else’s personal information, including photos of other people, without their permission; or
- breaks any law in force in India.
Teachers, tutors and schools are responsible for the materials they create or upload, and must use what they see about a student only to teach that student.
If you break this section, we may warn you, remove content, restrict a feature, or suspend or close your account. For anything harmful to a child, or an attack on the Service, we may act at once and without warning. We report unlawful conduct to the authorities where we are required or entitled to.
6. Your content and ours
- Ours. Acemate (its software, design, the content we create, the name “Acemate” and our logos) belongs to Persa Global or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use it for your own study or, as a teacher, to teach your own students. It ends when your account ends.
- Yours. You keep ownership of what you create and upload, including the questions a teacher writes. You let us store it, show it to the people entitled to see it, send it for AI evaluation, and produce marks, feedback and reports from it, until you delete your account, except for anything the law requires us to keep. We will not publish it, use it in marketing, sell it, or use it to train AI models. We may produce statistics that identify no one.
- AI output. You may use the questions, explanations and feedback Acemate gives you for your own study, or to teach your own students. We do not promise they are accurate (section 3), or that nothing similar exists elsewhere.
- Suggestions you send us for improving Acemate, we may use without any obligation to you.
- Copyright complaints: write to acemateservices@gmail.com. We will look into it promptly and may remove or disable the content.
7. Suspension and ending
You may stop using Acemate at any time. A student can delete their account from their Profile page; anyone else can ask us to.
We may suspend or close an account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, if the account puts a child, other users or the Service at risk, or, after telling you, if it has long been unused. Unless the matter is serious or the law requires us to act at once, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we stop providing Acemate, we will give reasonable notice and let you download your work.
Sections 3, 6, 8, 9 and 11 continue to apply after your account ends.
8. Disclaimers and limits on liability
Acemate is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent Indian law allows, we exclude all warranties and conditions not set out in these Terms, including implied warranties of quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of every security threat, that AI output will be accurate, that content will match every board’s syllabus, that it will improve any result, or that it will work on every device. We are not responsible for services we do not control, such as your internet connection. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a child’s use of Acemate.
To the fullest extent Indian law allows, Persa Global is not liable for:
- any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss;
- loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or opportunity;
- any academic or career outcome, such as an examination result, grade, admission or scholarship, attributed to the Service or to AI output;
- loss caused by relying on AI output that was not reviewed as section 3 asks; or
- loss caused by someone using your account because you did not keep your password secret.
Our total liability to you for all claims connected with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, and (b) ₹5,000.
Neither you nor we are responsible for a failure caused by something outside reasonable control, such as a natural disaster, epidemic, war, government action, or a power, network or provider outage.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the DPDP Act that cannot be given up by agreement.
9. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Persa Global, its directors, employees and agents for claims, losses and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, content you upload or create, your infringement of anyone else’s rights, or, for teachers and schools, marks, grades or decisions you release or take using Acemate and how you handle student data outside it. If you are under 18, this promise is given by the parent or guardian who accepted these Terms for you. We will tell you promptly about any claim this covers, and let you take part in defending it.
10. Complaints
Our Grievance Officer handles complaints under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the DPDP Act.

If you are not satisfied: for a consumer complaint, call the National Consumer Helpline on 1915 or approach a consumer commission; for a decision on a content complaint, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days; for personal data, see the Privacy Policy, section 11.
11. Law, changes and general terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, please contact our Grievance Officer first. The courts with jurisdiction over our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction, but nothing stops you from bringing a complaint before a consumer commission where you live or work, as the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 allows.
We may update these Terms. For a material change, we give at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the app, and update the version and date above. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using Acemate and delete your account; if you go on using it after the change takes effect, you accept it.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term once does not stop us enforcing it later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or sale of the business, and will tell you. We contact you at the email address on your account or in the app. If a translation differs from the English, the English applies. These Terms create no partnership, agency or employment between us.
